Players can even combine 2 Skill Books to create a brand new Skill.
Players can purchase or find Skill Books as they progress the game, and can combine Scrolls with Blank Skill Books of their corresponding Schools in order to obtain that Skill Book. Later I returned to Barnabus' cave to see if the same trick would help, but the light was ok when I entered (not as bright as in D2:ED), but there was a light radius around the character that made the stairs easily visible when you got close enough (in D2:ED you could see them clearly from the start, with only physical restrictions on your sight range). Skill Books in Divinity: Original Sin 2 are how the player acquires and learns new Skills. I teleporter back to my enchanter's platform to change the enchantment, and when I returned to the cave, the area had a little better lighting. Later in the well cave I was going through another section that was a little dark, and found some gauntlets that had better base stats than what I was using.
with D2:ED I had the brightness setting on 80). I changed the Brightness in the game settings from 90 to 100, and was able to see everything ok (when I left I changed the setting back to 90. Through the highest teleporter in Barnabus' cave, the stairs were so dark I only knew they were there because I remembered that cave from D2:ED I could see the 'shiny' stones on the stairs, but not enough to define them as stairs and no cobwebs or vases, etc.
